Card monitoring programs

Under the Data insights > Card monitoring programs module, you can view the Visa and Mastercard issuer's chargeback and fraud monitoring programs through the Visa or Mastercard pages.

On the Card monitoring programs page, you can use filters to filter the data or view definitions:

  • You can use Transaction creation time and Merchant account ID to filter the data. The filtered date range supports a time span of up to 180 days.

  • Click Learn more icon to view the definitions of terms contained on the current page. You can also click the tip icon in the header of the table to view the corresponding explanation.

Visa

Under Visa, you can obtain the following data in Visa Acquirer Monitoring Program (VAMP):

  • VAMP limit: The standard threshold is that the VAMP count does not exceed 1,500 transactions and the VAMP rate does not exceed 1.5%.
  • Risk status: The histogram and discount chart in the list display the status, and green represents the safe status. In general, when both indicators do not exceed the threshold or only one indicator exceeds the threshold, it means that the current state is safe. When both indicators exceed the threshold, you will see the red status and should take action immediately.

Mastercard

There are two programs under Mastercard. You can get the following data in the table:

  • Mastercard Excessive Chargeback Program (ECP): The standard threshold is that the chargeback count does not exceed 100 transactions and the chargeback rate does not exceed 1.5%.
  • Mastercard Excessive Fraud Merchant Compliance Program (EFM): The standard threshold is that the fraud chargeback volume does not exceed 50,000 USD and the fraud chargeback rate does not exceed 0.5%.

The histogram and discount chart in the list display the status, and green represents the safe status. Click the Status tab to view the corresponding status definitions.
