Antom, leading provider of tailored payment solutions

Overview

AgentSafePay delivers a secure and convenient agentic payment experience. Once authorized, an AI Agent can complete payments on behalf of buyers. It covers scenarios such as flight booking, food ordering, digital goods purchases, service appointments, and bill payments. It also links intent understanding, option recommendation, and transaction execution into one closed-loop service experience. This helps merchants capture the new transaction entry points that agentic commerce brings. During payment, AgentSafePay provides market-leading risk control. Using large language models, it runs an intent consistency check between shopping intent and the actual transaction. It identifies and blocks transactions with mismatched intent in time to keep payments secure.
AgentSafePay also provides payment intent protection for merchants. If an Agent misunderstands, relays incorrectly, or mis-executes an instruction, the merchant may still bear refund or chargeback losses after normal fulfillment. In this case, AgentSafePay compensates the merchant for direct net losses that have actually occurred and cannot be recovered, up to the order amount. This protection requires conditions such as Know Your Agent (KYA) certification and payment processing by Antom as the acquirer. The specific terms are subject to the service agreement. For merchants, AgentSafePay simplifies the payment chain in agent scenarios, increases service automation, and improves the buyer experience while reducing buyer effort. Its secure and trustworthy payment flow raises transaction conversion, so merchants can respond to abnormal operations and new risks in agent transactions with greater confidence.

Product features

Optimal user experience

  • Seamless automated transaction flow: After the buyer completes authorization, the AI Agent can help drive the payment flow based on buyer instructions or preset tasks. The buyer does not need to repeat operations for each transaction. This reduces friction in the payment chain and improves both the continuity of agent services and transaction efficiency.
  • Sensitive payment information protection: Sensitive payment information is not exposed to the Agent or the merchant during the transaction. With secure payment authorization and transaction verification mechanisms, AgentSafePay helps platforms improve automation while keeping funds and information secure.
  • Support for diverse agent scenarios: AgentSafePay serves agent providers and merchant-operated agents. It supports the end-to-end transaction flow from intent understanding and service recommendation to payment execution. This helps merchants build a more natural and efficient agentic commerce experience.

Robust risk management capability

For agentic payments, AgentSafePay provides payment authorization, Intent Guard, and payment intent protection. These services let an AI Agent initiate payments within the buyer's authorization scope. Buyers can then complete transactions such as flight booking, food ordering, digital goods purchases, service appointments, and bill payments. The system verifies the authorization scope, limit, validity period, and risk policy to keep payment behavior secure and controllable.

Trusted user identity and authorization

AgentSafePay uses a unified authorization mechanism to set clear permission boundaries for payments that an AI Agent makes on the buyer's behalf. With one authorization, the buyer defines the delegation scope across dimensions such as available limit, validity period, applicable merchants and scenarios, and payment method. The agent can only initiate transactions within this scope. Payments are blocked once they exceed the limit, the validity period, or the scenario constraints. The buyer controls the authorization throughout and can review or revoke it at any time.

Intent Guard verification

Intent Guard identifies and blocks four types of payment intent deviation: unauthorized transactions, incorrect amounts, incorrect goods or services, and incorrect transaction conditions.
  • Intent consistency check: Large language models interpret the buyer's original instructions and the intent of the current transaction. The check then compares amount, category, merchant, time, frequency, and other dimensions to determine whether the actual transaction deviates from the authorized intent.
  • Abnormal intent blocking: Transactions are blocked immediately in cases such as exceeding the limit, exceeding the scope, or an abnormal merchant, which prevents unintended purchases and fund losses.
  • Support for scenarios with and without the buyer present: The system switches verification modes based on whether the buyer is present at the payment step. When the buyer is not present, it runs both an intent consistency check and a payment execution consistency check. When the buyer is present, it runs a payment execution consistency check. This covers the different scenarios of agentic payment.
  • Unified verification across payment methods: Whether a transaction goes through a bank card, an e-wallet, or another payment method, the system completes a full-chain comparison before payment execution. This ensures that every transaction entering the payment step matches the buyer's true intent.

Fund security (payment intent protection)

If an Agent misunderstands, relays incorrectly, or mis-executes the buyer's transaction instruction, the merchant may still bear refund or chargeback losses after normal fulfillment. In this case, AgentSafePay compensates the merchant for direct net losses. These losses have occurred, are reasonably necessary, and cannot be recovered through refunds, resale, or recourse.
Note: This protection applies only to merchants that use Antom Agentic Payment. You must ensure that the Agent has passed KYA certification and that Antom processes the transaction as the acquirer. You must also transmit parameters correctly as required and strictly follow Antom risk control decisions.

Payment method coverage

You only need one integration to cover multiple payment networks and wallets, which lowers the cost of repeated integration.

Product advantages

  • Higher transaction conversion: Fewer repeated operations and process interruptions during payment lead to higher payment success rates and transaction conversion rates in agent scenarios.
  • Better user experience: Buyers can complete the continuous flow from stating a need to payment execution through an AI Agent, which delivers a more natural and convenient experience.
  • Stronger security assurance: The system verifies transactions with buyer authorization, limit restrictions, validity period, and risk policy to protect buyer funds and sensitive payment information.
  • Broader scenario coverage: It adapts to scenarios such as flight booking, food ordering, digital goods purchases, service appointments, and bill payments.

Business benefits

  • Higher payment conversion: The path from stating a need to completing payment is shorter. Fewer buyers drop off because of page redirects and repeated operations, so transaction conversion rates in agent scenarios rise.
  • Improved service efficiency: An AI Agent helps complete payment-related operations within the buyer's authorization scope. Fewer steps require manual confirmation and handling, which strengthens automated service capabilities.
  • Stronger user loyalty: Buyers get a more consistent and convenient agent service experience, which helps platforms improve user satisfaction and repeat purchase intent.
  • Expanded business scenarios: These scenarios help agent providers and merchant-operated agents explore new transaction entry points and agentic commerce business opportunities.
  • Lower security risk: Unauthorized transaction and abnormal transaction risks are reduced, and sensitive payment information is protected.

Buyer payment experience

In agentic payment, the Agent is the entry point that drives the payment flow. The flow has two stages: authorization and payment.
  • First authorization: After the buyer expresses payment intent in the Agent conversation or app, the Agent guides the buyer to the binding and verification intermediate page that Antom provides. The buyer then completes payment asset binding, identity verification (IDV), and Passkey registration and authorization. One authorization sets the limit, validity period, and other constraints for agentic payment.
  • Subsequent payments: Within the buyer's authorization scope, the Agent can obtain a one-time payment credential directly and complete payment. The buyer does not need to repeat operations. When a transaction exceeds the authorization scope or the business requires the buyer to confirm while present, the identity verification intermediate page opens again. The buyer then completes Passkey verification.
Terminal types of the intermediate page: The binding and verification intermediate page supports multiple terminal types, such as Web, WAP, and App. You can integrate it through redirection or embedding based on the Agent's runtime environment.

Integration overview

Agentic Payment gives merchants agent-led payment capabilities through a unified access layer. You only need to integrate one set of APIs to let an AI Agent complete binding, authorization, and payment within the buyer's authorization scope. The unified access layer hides differences between underlying payment networks. Binding and verification take place on an Antom-hosted intermediate page, so sensitive payment information is not exposed to the Agent or the merchant.
