| Fraud | 546 | Unauthorized Purchase | The cardholder did not authorise or participate in the transaction. |
| Fraud | 534 | Unauthorized Multiple Transactions | The cardholder claims that a fraudulent purchase was made while the card was in the cardholder's possession at the time of the transaction. |
| Fraud | 527 | Missing imprint | Cardholder did not participate in a purchase and was not provided a copy of the card imprint (card-present environments only). |
| Fraud | 526 | Missing signature | The merchant neglected to give the cardholder a copy of the signed receipt; signature on the receipt is invisible or not prominent due to light ink, ribbed or colored paper, or fading; the original order receipt is mishandled or is scanned at a smaller size. |
| Authorization | 501 | Non-JCB Card | The card is not a JCB card. |
| Authorization | 503 | Expired JCB Card | The charge submitted by the merchant after the card was expired. |
| Authorization | 522 | Authorization Declined | The authorization was declined, but the transaction was processed anyway. |
| Authorization | 547 | JCB Card on Stop List | The transaction was carried out with even though the card is on the stop list. |
| Authorization | 521 | Transaction Exceeds Floor Limit | No proper authorization was obtained on this transation. |
| Authorization | 581 | Split Sale | This chargeback occurs when a transaction requiring an authorization decision was split into two or more card sales to avoid authorization, and had the whole sale been submitted for authorization, it would have been declined. |
| Processing Error | 510 | Mis-Post | The transaction was processed with an incorrect transaction code. |
| Processing Error | 525 | Altered Amount | The transaction was processed with an incorrect amount. Unusually occurs when the transaction was processed with an incorrect currency code. |
| Processing Error | 507 | Incorrect Transaction amount. | The transaction was processed with an incorrect amount. |
| Processing Error | 536 | Late Presentment | The transaction was not processed within the required time-limit. |
| Processing Error | 512 | Duplicate processing | The transaction was processed more than once. |
