# Swish

> Swish is Sweden's dominant mobile payment solution.

Swish is Sweden's dominant mobile payment solution. Started in 2012 as a cooperation between the six largest banks in Sweden, Swish has become a natural part of the daily lives of 8.7 million Swedes. Swish is the preferred way for consumers to pay online, as 64% of Swedish consumers consider it important to be able to pay with Swish in online stores.

The Swish app operates through a simple and secure process: customers register with their mobile numbers and link their bank accounts for real-time transactions via QR codes or phone number identification.

## Banks supporting Swish

Swish was founded in 2012 by six major Swedish banks: Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Länsförsäkringar, Nordea, SEB, and Swedbank and Sparbankerna. Together, they own Getswish AB, the company that operates Swish.

Other banks have joined since then, and each bank sets its own customer terms and fees. The founding banks are not a complete list of currently participating banks. Check [Swish’s official information](https://www.swish.nu/about-swish) for current bank participation.

Buyers need a Swedish bank account to use Swish. Swish payments use Swedish kronor (SEK).

## Accept Swish with Antom

Antom is an acquirer for Swish. To accept Swish through Antom, enable it in your merchant account and integrate with [One-time Payments using the API-only integration](https://docs.antom.com/ac/cashierpay/apm_api.md). Your integration is with Antom, rather than a direct connection to Swish or Getswish.

For Swish, Antom supports **API-only integration for One-time Payments only**. Hosted Checkout Page, Embedded Checkout Page, Web Element, Mobile Element, and Payment links are not supported. Tokenized Payment, Subscription Payment, EasySafePay, and Scan to Link are also not supported.

The payment flow uses a redirect. Buyers complete authentication in the Swish app or through the Swish-hosted QR-code page, then return to the merchant’s result page. Payment results are returned in real time.

## Merchant eligibility and payment terms

The documented merchant entity locations are the EEA, UK, Hong Kong, and US, with AntomEU, AntomUK, AntomHK, and AntomUS listed as acquirers. A merchant entity registered in one of these locations can accept Swish through Antom; a Swedish merchant entity is not required by the documented location list. The buyer country is Sweden.

Payments are processed in SEK, with a minimum payment amount of 0.01 SEK. Antom supports full and partial refunds within 365 days. Chargebacks and disputes are not supported for this payment method.

## Swish payment limits

Antom does not impose an acquiring-side maximum payment amount. This does not mean Swish payments are unlimited: the Swish scheme limit is **150,000 SEK per transaction**, and the buyer’s bank may impose a lower limit. See the [official Swish Commerce limits FAQ](https://www.swish.nu/faq/company/finns-det-nagra-beloppsbegransningar-for-swish-for-handel).
