 Konbini (convenience store) payments allow Japanese consumers to make purchases online and pay with cash at convenience stores. They enable e-commerce transactions in a culture where cash is one of the most trusted and secure payment methods.

 Konbini payments are popular in Japan and can be used at over 20,000 locations, including Lawson, FamilyMart, MINISTOP, Seicomart, and Daily Yamazaki.

### Online payment (Antom collects information) {#1fPFE}

 By default, buyers are redirected to the Antom page for information collection during each transaction.

### Online payment (Merchant collects information) {#sYk5z}

 In this scenario, buyers can opt to complete the payment process without the Antom page. During a first-time payment, buyers provide the required information on the merchant page, with the option to save this information for subsequent payments.

 The payment order page displays the payment code, QR code or barcode, and the buyer can follow the instructions to complete the payment at the convenience store.

# Integration considerations {#SCu18}

 The following section outlines integration considerations for various payment types, detailing customized integration solutions and payment method features.

## Default timeout {#RUVi6}

 When a transaction reaches the final timeout but the buyer has not completed payment, if a receipt is printed at that moment, the buyer still has 30 minutes to pay, which may result in a situation where the transaction is closed even though payment has been made. Since Konbini does not support refunds, the buyer may have already paid while the merchant’s side has closed the order and not received the funds. Therefore, it is recommended to display to the buyer an expiration time that is shorter than the actual timeout for closing the order. For example, show the buyer a payable page with 167 hours left, while the actual order timeout is 168 hours or longer. This can reduce such occurrences.
